The web designers at Mary Kay have really done it this time. The newly launched Personal Beauty Profiler is awesome. Set it up to provide you with the local weather and a countdown to an important upcoming event. I set mine to Christmas but options include your wedding, anniversary, birthday, or any other future happening.

You can find out specific skin care recommendations by using the Skin Care Analysis. This quick quiz will provide you with the right Mary Kay skin care options for you based on age, lifestyle, and specific concerns you may have. You can then order directly from the website or share your results with me and we can get you started. Remember you can always host a skin care class and earn some free products too.

I Wish There Were A Way To Touch

I am so excited. I used the Mary Kay Sunscreen SPF 30 yesterday before heading out to a Memorial Day Parade and I have to tell you that it is the best sunscreen I have ever tried. I know you are saying, well she sells Mary Kay so she has to say that but if you know me at all you will know that I am not like that. Sunscreen is a "necessary evil" for me, or at least it has been. The types I have tried in the past either sting a bit on application or sit on top of my skin, so slick that I feel like a greased pig!

Let Down By The Claims Of Mineral Foundations Like I Was?

How many of you have bought mineral powder in the past year only to find it does not cover or provide the foundation you were looking for? Plan Some Time With Your Girls

Taking time for ourselves is often the last thing we even think about doing. There is so much to do how can we possibly fit in anything else? Well the truth is you will accomplish more if you take some time to relax and enjoy the company of friends.

One great way to relax is to get together with your girlfriends and share a Mary Kay Skin Care event or theme party. Your Face Really Is Softer Than It Used To Be

Well that was a nice thing to hear first thing this morning. My husband gets up and heads out the door to work at the crack of early on work days. His alarm goes off, at least three times because he is a fan of the SNOOZE BUTTON (the worst invention ever in my opinion) at 4 something o'clock and he is out the door by 4:30 AM. So this morning he touched my face and said "You know your face is really softer than it used to be."

Finding Energy To Keep On Keepin' On

Taking time for you is the most important thing you can do right now. We all need to take time for us. Many of us are so busy with school, work, family obligations, and just getting through our never ending to do lists that we forget to stop and reward ourselves. We used to say "if momma ain't happy then nobody is happy" and that is true whether you are a mom or not. The first person you need to care for is yourself then you can give so much more to others and give it happily.

This is not being selfish it is avoiding the trap of being selfless. You can not be happy if you ignore your own needs all the time. By carving out an hour or two to have a relaxing facial by yourself or with a few friends or to host a larger skin care class where we will play games, learn how to pamper ourselves in our daily routines, and just laugh and have a great time, you will be doing everyone who you are trying to work with a favor. As you relax and enjoy you will find energy to do for others. It is truly amazing to find that by stopping the rat race for a few hours you will actually be able to get more done.

Don't Try To Frost A Crumbly Cake

I was just thinking about the importance of proper skin care to your overall look. I wonder how many of you have ever baked a cake and had it fall apart when you removed it from the pan but tried to frost it anyway? What you end up with is a crumbly mess instead of a nice smooth frosting on the cake. Well if your skin is not cleaned, exfoliated, toned, and moisturized you can apply the most expensive color in the world only to look dry and crumbly.

One of the reasons I became involved in my new Mary Kay business is the opportunity I have to help people celebrate the beauty within. A smile, a kind word, an acknowledgment of someone else's contribution to your life, these things can all make a difference to someone who needs to feel good. And don't we all need to feel good?

The whole process of providing individual attention to each person at a skin care class or to a few people at a facial appointment can be the start of something wonderful in someone's life. We allow ourselves a moment in the crazy run around life we have to do something fun and relaxing for ourselves. As the group settles with a relaxing hand treatment with our Satin Hands set the rough edges start to be worn away. The negative chatter that might have entered the house starts to fade away and the smiles start to appear.

The joking and positive energy really gets flowing as the guests fill out the customer profile. You hear a joke about this and a good memory about that. Putting on those headbands to pull the hair away from your face really opens you up for what is about to come.

The guests then clean away all the grime and grit off their faces and view the naked face in the mirror. Oh there is a lot of chatter about this or that upon really taking a look at themselves but the feeling is fresh and clean, ready for something new. As day/night solution and moisturizer are applied you can almost hear the communal ahhhhhhh. The final application of mineral powder or liquid foundation has even the most skeptical in the group saying well maybe this isn't all about makeup.
