Did you ever notice how you can get a baby to smile just by smiling at them? It always amazes me that an infant will receive a happy face and reflect joy in their own face. Well guess what, most people continue to receive smiles the same way throughout their lives. When someone shares a smile with you don't you feel a little bubble of happiness float through whatever else is going on in your mind that moment?
I love to smile at people. I feel a rush when they acknowledge my effort to brighten their day. It is good for both of us. With the advent of social media I can share smiles with so many other people. I know that they give me joy and I return the favor. You should give it a try.
Many of us are so wrapped up in our own troubles that we forget to smile. We forget to share the good things as well as the bad. Don't be a constant complainer find something good to share every if it is only one of these :) once in a while. The web designers at Mary Kay have really done it this time. The newly launched Personal Beauty Profiler is awesome. Set it up to provide you with the local weather and a countdown to an important upcoming event. I set mine to Christmas but options include your wedding, anniversary, birthday, or any other future happening.
You can find out specific skin care recommendations by using the Skin Care Analysis. This quick quiz will provide you with the right Mary Kay skin care options for you based on age, lifestyle, and specific concerns you may have. You can then order directly from the website or share your results with me and we can get you started. Remember you can always host a skin care class and earn some free products too.
Next try the Makeup Adviser. You will enter information on your skin tone, hair and eye color, face, eye, and lip shape, and color preferences and receive a list of colors selected just for you. Then you can head over to the Virtual Makeover and upload your photo to try out the new colors. (It's also a blast to try new hair styles and colors, bridal looks, and other silliness) Then contact me to set up a personal mineral makeup makeover or a Mineral Makeover Madness Party with some friends.
The final helper on the new Personal Beauty Profiler will help you select a scent that is just perfect for you. As I look back over my life I see the times when I felt lost and alone. The times when I let me insecurity rule and felt the most vulnerable. The times when I let other's opinions of me form my opinion of myself. I know the feeling of waking up to find another day of pain and doubt. I also know that you can find your inner beauty and confidence by putting enough value on yourself to actually invest time and effort into taking care of yourself.
When you open yours eyes to another day, take the time to be thankful that you have the day. Take the time as you prepare for your busy day to take care of your skin and think about how you are dressing yourself for what ever you plan to do. When you look sharp you feel better about you. You hold your shoulders a little straighter and stand a little taller. Don't underestimate the power that taking care of yourself gives you.
I know many of you may think... All I am doing today is my regular work so why should I bother with this. Well for you... so you can be the best at whatever you do and for others around you... so you can be prepared to spread joy to another person.
So go ahead and do it today. Just take the time and see how much better you feel. Then do it tomorrow and the day after that. Soon you will be raising up happy to greet the day and people will notice the change and treat you differently.

If you are wishing your life were different there is really only one way to make it so. You need to make a decision and then act on it. Change you and your world will change. Oh it may not be a huge earth shattering change but you will feel different.
It will start with a tiny spark and grow as long as you keep feeding it. A decision to take care of your self is one vital step. If you take action every day to present the best outward appearance that you can you will find yourself loving you a little bit more. You will find a smile again and share it with others. As you share your smile you will find that the stresses and struggles of life are easier to deal with.
Next start to take control of your environment. Take a good hard look at how you are making a living. So many people are unhappy because of their jobs or lack thereof. The power to change that does not have to lay with headhunters, personnel managers, or that store owner who won't hire you. It does not lay with your boss or your company policy. You must accept the rules and decisions others make only for as long as you are dependent on them for income. Why not start your own business on the side or as a full time effort? You will be amazed at the joy you can find in making a decision to become an entrepreneur.

I am so lucky to be where I am today. I truly wake up and smile every morning knowing how exciting my day will be. That is because I have chosen a new career as an independent business women. It is with a company that believes all women can make a difference in their lives. That company is Mary Kay!
I have been speaking to women over the past few months about hopes and dreams. It seems that many of us have forgotten how to dream. What is it that we are looking forward to? Why do we keep on keepin' on? Many of the women I speak with are unhappy because they feel trapped by circumstances that they honestly believe are beyond their control. While it is true that we can be stuck in some seriously difficult situations, we do have the ability to change one thing and that is our own attitude. When we start to dream and to believe in ourselves we begin to get stronger. When we see that there may be a light at the end of the tunnel we can great the day with a smile.
So what are you going to do today to allow yourself to dream? I began my day by looking over the choices I have for a prize from the Mary Kay Quarterly STAR contest. Wow what fun! I get to pick a present as a reward for doing well this quarter. I never have worked with a company that gave me the opportunity to win wonderful prizes every quarter just for working my business.
Next I am going to call up some old friends and some new acquaintances and offer them a FREE facial and tell them about all the exciting new products that Mary Kay is offering for Fall and the Holidays. Some fun and some girl talk that will result in making these women feel good and may just make me some money at the same time.
I will also be preparing for some skin care classes I have scheduled for later in the week. What a pleasure it is for me to watch as women who have never experienced Mary Kay products start to get excited when they see the results from just one use.
I also will have a few conversations or send a few notes to my amazing team of consultants. I can help these wonderful women further their dreams by being here for them and by leading them to the next level in their own businesses. What a great company that encourages me to help other consultants rather than step on them on the way to the top.
Finally I will be sharing the opportunity with women who are looking for something more in their lives. They may be out of work due to downsizing or "lack of experience". They might be stay at home moms who need some adult contact during the day. They could be women dissatisfied with what they are currently doing but can't afford to leave the job. They may just want to have some fun and earn a little more cash for themselves. These are the women who I can give smile and some hope to. I am Dreaming again. Yes as we get older and life starts to take it's toll we might forget how to Dream. Well Mary Kay has opened my world to Dreaming and I am so grateful for it.
I have always tried to look at the bright side although there are times along my journey that I can look back to see darkness was able to take over. One of the keys to being positive and thereby attracting positive things to you is accepting that sometimes bad things happen but we can look forward to better things through our dreams.
One of the keys to dreaming in a positive way is to act on those dreams by taking little steps each day toward that big goal. I am now working towards several dreams by setting goals each day, each week, each month, and each year. You can do it too!
Find a place where there are positive forces around you. I found that place in my Mary Kay Unit. What a wonderful, positive, supportive environment to learn and grow in. The tools to succeed are all there and the encouragement to continue on towards goals is so evident there.
